State Senator || Jack Martins has been a member of the New York State Senate since 2023 and represents the 7th District. He is the most senior member of the Labour Committee and a member of the Finance, Housing, Judiciary, Procurement Committees and is the Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference. Prior to being elected to the Senate between 2010 and 2016, Senator Martins served four terms as Mayor of the Village of Mineola. He is an attorney and partner at Harris Beach PLLC and a member of the FLAD Board of Directors. He and his wife, Paula, are raising their four daughters on Long Island. The Senator is the son of Portuguese immigrants, both parents having emigrated from Barcelos in northern Portugal.
