Upon finishing high school, five adolescents from Oregon decide to embark on an adventure, aboard a van that has seen better days, with the aim of reaching the Pacific Coast, 800 kilometers away, for the first time. Their plan boils down to: “Screw it!”. This improvised odyssey takes them through the desert, industrial zones and small cities. Brothers Bill and Turner Ross pursue a unique work, observing the forgotten people of an abandoned America. Like their films shown in previous editions of Outsiders (Tchoupitoulas, Bloody Nose Empty Pockets), their characters discover that the outlines of their lives are defined by the paths they themselves carve out; that they can count on freedom, but that they essentially only have one another.
