At the heart of Most Beautiful Island is a bizarre and apparently intriguing task, which reveals itself to be a dangerous game, which the Director accepted shortly after arriving in New York. In her small, but impressive debut film, Ana Asensio, born in Spain, weaves a chilling and suspenseful portrait of how far undocumented foreigners are willing to go in order to survive and thrive in America.
