The last month for applications to the Fulbright Grant for Research with the support of FLAD is approaching and to help those interested in the application process, we have made available the advice transmitted at the 19th of January information session. Watch the video here.

What is the process to finalize your application? Here are the steps you should take.

Aimed at Master’s students in Portuguese institutions, who wish to carry out a research project in the USA during a period of 4 months, the Fulbright Grant for Research with the support of FLAD had an information session held a session on January 19th, to explain the grant’s requirements and clarify doubts about the application process.

This session was attended by Professor Elsa Henriques, Administrator of FLAD, the Executive Director of Fulbright, Otília Reis, and the Programs Advisor for Portuguese, Sofia Wahon.

At the end of the session, we also had the participation of two Fulbrighters, Rosana Alves, PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Minho and Invited Professor in the Department of Biology of the same institution, and Leonor Rodrigues, PhD student in the area of Immunology applied to Cancer from the University of Cambridge.

Both, Rosana Alves at the University of California, Berkeley, and Leonor Rodrigues at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, in Buffalo, NY,  emphasized the importance of these exchange experiences, such as Fulbright, to open doors to other opportunities in their professional and academic careers, such as for publishing articles, greater impact on applications for other grants and collaboration with other research centers.
