When a larva with strange psychotropic qualities is introduced into a human organism, it enables the host to be manipulated without its knowledge. One night, Kris (Amy Seimetz) becomes the victim of a mysterious thief who injects one of those larvae into her body. She is gradually dispossessed of her work, money and, finally, control over her own life. Some years later, Kris meets Jeff (Shane Carruth), who seems to have been through the same thing. Together, they will attempt to recover their respective memories and try to understand what happened. This, the second and thus far most recent, film by Carruth departs from conventional narrative devices to embark on an aesthetic and sensual experience of extraordinary beauty.
