After a successful first edition, FLAD is once again opening applications for the Flechada program, with the aim of supporting artists between the ages of 24 and 31 at the start of their career. Up to 5 scholarships with a maximum of 10 thousand euros each will be awarded for the organization of the first solo exhibition.

Flechada – Support Program for First Solo Exhibitions was born from the need to support young artists in their first solo exhibition, a moment considered crucial for their launch as professional artists. Applications for the second edition of this program are open until January 31, 2025 for young artists between the ages of 24 and 31 who have not yet held a solo exhibition. FLAD will award up to 5 scholarships with a maximum value of 10 thousand euros each for the organization of the exhibition. In the first edition of the program, in 2023, FLAD supported five artists – Blac Dwelle, Francisca Pinto, Francisca Valador, Guilherme Figueiredo and Letícia Costelho – after analyzing more than 80 high-quality applications.

The support for an exhibition project and articulation with professional structures and cultural agents will allow the selected artists to develop a unique, individual exhibition project, opening paths and developing the plastic and visual body with agility.
