State Representative || Carol A. Gomes Doherty is a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where she represents the 3rd Bristol District, including parts of Taunton and Easton. Representative Doherty first assumed office in June 2020, in a special election, having been reelected in November 2020. Carol A. Doherty focused most of her career and public service on the Education sector. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Boston University and her Master’s degree in Education and Guidance from Bridgewater State University. Carol comes from a family of Portuguese immigrants. Her mother went to the United States from Madeira, Portugal, and her father’s family is from Cape Verde.
