State Representative (Delegate) || Nick Freitas is a member of the Virginia House of Delegates. In 2019, he was elected to a third term representing District 30. Delegate Freitas serves on the Transportation and Communications, Technology and Innovation Committees. Prior to that, Nick served in the United States Military for 11 years, including two combat tours in Iraq as a member of the US Army Special Forces (Green Berets). Nick continues to work in the field of national defense serving as a subject matter expert on counter-terrorism, unconventional warfare, and intelligence analysis. A Culpeper, Virginia resident, Nick was born in Chico, California, where there was a sizeable and active Portuguese-American community. His Portuguese roots trace back to the Azores.
