The deadline for submission of applications for Visiting Professor at Brown University has expired. We are now in the analysis phase and will soon announce the selected candidate.
Brown University is one of the most important and seventh oldest American university, integrating the restricted Ivy League group. Located in Providence, on the East Coast, where there is an expressive Portuguese-American community, this university maintains a reputed Department of Portuguese and Brazilian Studies. In 1993, FLAD established with the University of Brown a protocol through which a Visiting Professor Program was created, dedicated to the Culture and History of Portugal and to the Social Sciences related to contemporary Portugal.
Since then, Brown has relied on the presence of renowned Portuguese scholars, who enrich the curricular offer of the Portuguese core of that department. By continuing this program, which FLAD is very proud of, we are contributing to the promotion of Portugal, its Culture and its academics in the United States.
