The complex informal and affectionate relationship between Jill (Lola Kirke), an obstinate personal assistant and Heather (Zoë Kravitz), the Hollywood star for whom she works, seems to be going through a crisis. The mystery is introduced early on by the director and screenwriter Aaron Katz, who transforms this contemporary version of the film noir into a reflection on friendship, appearances, different social status, success and celebrity.
