When Dan Mueller (the notable Keith Kupferer), a construction worker, unexpectedly joins a production of Romeo and Juliet at a local theater, the drama onstage begins to mirror his own life. Directors Kelly O’Sullivan (also Screenwriter) and Alex Thompson, don´t hesitate to draw parallels and echoes between life and art, but Shakespeare´s story of unhappy lovers is more than a simple mirror through which Dan can see himself and others; it is a means by which he can understand himself and others, especially those closest to him. We can see Ghostlight as a comedy in a broad sense, but also as a modern tragedy, or even a redeeming anthem.
