Russia’s future is unknown because Vladimir Putin has amassed more power for himself than any Russian leader since Joseph Stalin, said Robert D. Kaplan, one of the most prestigious thinkers in post-Cold War international relations, who was at FLAD as part of the Democracy: The Way Ahead conference cycle.

Under the motto ‘The New Geopolitics: Our World in Permanent Crisis’, Robert D. Kaplan, author of 21 books, including ‘The Revenge of Geography’ (Author’s Club), went around the world in conversation with Professor and commentator, Miguel Monjardino. Robert Kaplan argues that American foreign policy under Joe Biden has made one of the greatest demonstrations of American power since the first Gulf War.
